Ice lolly giveaway!!!!!

Hello, gosh it's a bit hectic around here. My children finish school today for the Summer, YAY. I'm busily trying to get ready, so that we can all enjoy the best Summer ever! ( I say that every year) And of course that involves lots and lots of ice lollies.

I thought it would be fun to make some. I'm so excited to share these with you. They aren't the edible kind though.

No, these are going to hang around all Summer long.

Looking delicious.

Used as cute place settings, when friends come round for tea.

Reminding us all to enjoy the Summer whilst it's here. But most of all to have some fun.

I would love to send a little bit of Summer fun your way. As a way to say thank you for all your lovely comments, and for knowing that you understand my silliness for making things like this. I've enjoyed making these so much I just have to share.

Please leave me a comment and let me know how you celebrate your Summer, and I'll enter you into the giveaway. I'd love to hear from you. I'll draw a winner next week.

Bertie xx

Oh WOW they are beautiful! How did you make them?
I gave up my job last Nov after 15 years as a teaching assistant to so this time of year was one that I loved. All of us looking forward to the long summer break and lie ins and lazy days. This year is different but if the weather ever gets better I will take my sewing machine out in the garden and enjoy the summer like years gone by! x

Hello Bertie!
Your creativity astounds!

I am currently making sugar flowers for a friend, it's cheering me a little. I even made some happy sun cupcake toppers.

Only thing now is I want a cupcake...and an ice lolly!

Enjoy the summer holidays.

How clever and gorgeous are they! I would not have a clue where to begin to make such loviness. You are so clever.

Well my girls finish school today too, so as with all holidays they have to start with the holiday dance! Then hopefully some sunny days in the garden, catching up with friends and family and a lovely week away too! Can't wait.

Celebrate summer: picking flowers from the garden, raising a vegetable garden, going to the pool, enjoying food from the farmer's market

I have to confess, Bertie, I got really excited for two seconds, there, hoping that we were about to get a recipe! They look so good - whimsical and quite yummy! =]

I hope that you have a full and memorable summer but laid back and easy, too!

Love, Katy xo

Oh they are fabulous, please tell us how you made them.

I am so glad the summer holidays are finally upon us, will be so lovely not to have to rush for school each morning. I plan to celebrate Monday morning by sitting up in bed with children and a pile of books and puzzles.

Please add me to your wish list! Your ice lollies are so unusual. I've never seen anything like that before. So pretty! I like to spend my summer in the garden, enjoying the flowers and watching the birds.

Oh I have lots planned with the grandchildren, when the tides in we like to go crabbing, and on a sunny day we like to go fishing for tiddlers in the park and any day is picnic day out on the lawn with teddies and dollies for company. We also go camping in the forest, (well at a friend's caravan site realy,) the kids think it's a huge adventure and love every minute, Lucey x

Hi Bertie! The popsicles are so cute. Here in the South of the U.S. (I'm in South Carolina), we celebrate with barbecues complete with watermelon and grilled sweet corn. The neighbors invite us around for a swim at their new house, and we try to stay out of the heat. It gets so stifling here with the humidity!
I just found your blog and love it. I'm buying a house and want my kitchen/dining area to look exactly as yours does!

I'm amazed at your creativity- in all my years (not that they're that many) I have never seen ice pops hanging from a chandelier. Talk about a conversation starter!

I enjoy my summer by eating lots of fresh food, lazy days at the beach with friends, making the most of the longer days... Soaking up the sun.. Ahh I wish it was Summer here in Oz. I would love one of these beauties to get me through the next couple of months until Summer comes around here :)

Hello,
Just found you from attic 24.
These lollies are such fun and oh so frivolous, I love em.
We try and capture a bit of summer by keeping a holiday diary. We (often me) try and write something every day of the hols. I encourage the children to draw in it or add comments if they are able, we stick in photos and tickets and bits of shell and sand etc.
We have been doing it for 6 years now and just 2 days ago reviewed some of our earlier entries and had a great laugh and reminisce.
This year one of my sisters is visiting for 4 weeks from Oz so we have lots planned.
Enjoy your hols,
Claire.

The look 'FAB' pardon the pun!!

We are managing breakfast in the garden and then the sun seems to disappear for the day.

Having recently taken a step back from the business world to concentrate on the creative side of life I too look forward to working in my garden.

I will be following you and loving your ideas.

oh I LOVE those lollies as party favours - great idea! my 'recipe' for a perfect summer day is quite a simple one, a bit of sunshine, a blanket on the grass, something to read (oh and something sweet to eat...!) and a few hours to enjoy it - and thats a happy me..hope we get a few more days to do just that this year!
Enjy your summer!

How clever!
We spent the entire summer holidays last year in Australia and driving through NZ in a campervan. The children were still jet-lagged when they went back to school!
This year we'll be taking it easy with a few UK mini breaks, and heading back to the Green Man festival for some camping and fabulous music.

Oh how lovely!

This summer we will be celebrating a years hard work, transforming our 40yr old VW Bus into a camper van, and going to Cornwall. I hope it will be the first of many summer trips...

He's red & white, so will match your lollies!

Oh I haven't had a summer yet - we're only getting into the New Zealand summer. But I plan on BBQs and picnics in the botanic gardens. They have out door concerts there every year and we've just moved to close by!
