Pancake race

This morning our eldest daughter was proudly chosen to represent her school, in our towns 1st ever pancake race. So of course we went along to (embarrass her) show our support.

All the local officials where there to oversee the proceedings, and make sure no cheating took place.

Delicious Bettys kindly provided the pancakes, and the competitors goody bags.

The competition was fierce in the boys race, as they headed to the marker they had to flip and catch the pancake, before reaching the finish line.

There where a few casualties.

But all in all everyone had a flipping good time ( ha ha- sorry).

Happy Pancake Day x

What fun!!! Over here in America, the children and I will be having pancakes today in honor of Pancake Day and enjoying it with some real maple syrup after our visit to a sugaring house yesterday. I first heard of pancake day while living in Uganda and our British friends invited us over and we had a pancake race too!!!

Ooo I do love a good pancake race (and a good pancake too). But I'm dying to know what was in the Betty's goody bag! Any Fat Rascals perchance? No matter what happened in the girls race I'm sure your daughter had a grand time.

Love and stuff xx
