Spring is in the air

This morning something was different, it felt warm, spring like. I flung open the windows the let the house breath. I checked our little weather station and it told me it was 8 degrees outside. We had to get out there, and go for a walk.

We headed out the gate, little ones, sleep over friends, the dog, and me.

We turned left up the lane.

Passed clumps of snowdrops on the banking.

Kept on climbing.

Two minutes later we were at the cattle grid, and on the moor.

They were off!

They left me with my camera. I love it up here, everywhere you turn there is beautiful scenery.

Even on a hazy day, like today.

They came back to show me there treasures.

We took the track that led us back home.

Passed the neighbours flock.

Back down the lane.

Stopping to look down on the village below,

and back home. To toasted currant tea cakes with lots of butter.

Yes it really does feel as though spring is in the air.

So if anybody wants me I'll be outside x.

Isn't it wonderful to feel the change of season upon us.
I have spent two days digging even though it's still damp under foot!

Fantastic walk, bliss.
It really is beginning to feel like spring, I am sure we will have one last sprinkle of the white stuff and then guns blazing to a great summer!
Thanks for the walk, I feel all refreshed now!

Oooh fresh air! And such a beautiful spot. I've enjoyed this walk as much as you I think.

I'm sure I saw the sun here yesterday so I filled a couple of pots with primulas and daffs. Goodness what cheeriness!

Hmmm, I think teacakes will be finding their way into my basket this weekend too.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. Much appreciated.
