Cold and frosty morning

Today we awoke to a very cold and frosty morning

Everything had been lightly dusted

I headed out to check on my girls

I've just bought them some extra straw

I had to replace the frozen drinking water

and check in on the fluffiness of the bedding

I think the girls will be nice and cosy

and if they could start laying me an egg or two, I'd be most grateful!

You will be lucky to get an egg this year!! Our girls stopped laying about two months ago!! Why go out of their way to lay eggs, when they will have a cosy Christmas in their house!!

I got 3 eggs from my four girls this morning ... They love a big bowl of warm porridge in this weather, just before bedtime!

Oh, what beautifully chilly scenes you've shown us!

Although we have seen some brief snow flurries hereabouts, there's really not been any icy frosting yet.

From the wise and experienced earlier commenters, it looks as if you've got a bit of a wait for that egg. xo

Oh, my - how they've grown! =] (the 'girls' I mean.)

and, Oh, my! We sell our eggs at church every Sunday and just as the girls hit all time production highs (50 eggs a day - gasp! =O), several of our 'good customers' went on eggless diets. =/ I wish that I could hand some over to you. ....looking up egg recipes - running out of ideas...;)

Your frosty pictures are beautiful - it looks beautiful! =]
