Now that we have entered March, (can't believe it's here already!). I've been thinking more about the garden. I took myself off to the local nursery for a little look at all the Spring offerings.
Row upon row of beautiful viola, bright primula, and pots of crocuses. It was such a pleasure to be in amongst so much colour.
I wanted to scoop it all up, and take everything home with me.
I did show some restraint, and came away with a little trolley full of promise.
I planted up tubs and troughs.
Clumps of grape hyacinth, I'm hoping will put in a good show for Mothers Day.
Painted up terracotta pots, to house cyclamen.
Wondered where to put this beautiful bell plant,
and found the perfect spot to display the blue hydrangea.
Now I'm done with Winter.
Bring in the Spring x.

So obvious really, but never thought of painting the pots off white. It looks really good - might just borrow that idea if you don't mind.

Oh gorgeous, I meant to do th exact same thing today, I had a trip to the garden centre mentally planned, but the hours in the day ran out.
I love the idea of painted pots...but I would paint them TURQUOISE and buy PINK cyclamen LOL. You are so sophisticated and grown up in your paint taste, makes me feel like a big over grown kid with crayon-colours in mind lol

Bertie...lovely spring thoughts and photos. Your sweet blog is like a breath of fresh air.
Sounds perfect Bertie :)
Well I am thinking of having special memories in mine, like special tickets, pretty pebbles I find on the beach, locks of my children's hair, my children's hospital bracelets, yes I am a sentimental olde fool :)
Lovely sunshine here
